As I explained in the previous post, eating a balanced diet is essential in order to grow healthy. Fruits contain many vitamins and nutrients. If you eat them often you will take advantage of these benefits:

ü  Hydrating your body

ü  Having a good body digestive system

ü  Maintaining energy throughout the day

ü  Enjoying their great flavor

All the benefits that fruits can provide you are concentrated in an apple. If you get used to eating one apple a day you will maintain your health quite well. Therefore, you will feel alive, avoiding frequent doctor visits.

Start off the school year by eating healthy!


Do you enjoy eating?
Don’t forget to include a wide variety of food in your meals in order to grow healthy and strong! Your body needs the right nutrients to achieve a balanced diet and healthy foods can help prevent against diseases. Food is divided into five groups; in which each one provide at least one nutrient. If you eat a variety of foods from each group you’ll have a balanced diet!

Let’s review the five groups of food:
  • Fruits
  • Vegetables, legumes
  • Lean meat, fish, poultry, eggs, nuts
  • Bread, cereals, rice, pasta, noodles
  • Milk, yogurt, cheese

Some tips you must remember!

ü  Eating candies on special occasions is fine, but eating them, as a habit, has a negative effect on your health.

ü  Water is essential to living and keeps you hydrated during the day.

ü  Doing exercise regularly helps to prevent diseases and keeps you healthy.
